How do you live through that kind of sadness?

That's what Kyle and Betty Merton's thought when they lost their one-year-old daughter, Ella. They had God,

they had each other, but they were drowning in grief. They were also determined to find a way through it. Their experience gave them an unexpected expertise on grieving, and they suddenly

found themselves helping others navigate loss.

A word of caution about this episode, while this is a story of redemption and hope,

Kyle and I came from very different backgrounds. My family was always very religious growing up

in the best way. I mean, we had a very strong relationship with Jesus Christ and went to

actually Christian University and was very involved there.
