My point of dependence on God came in a hospital room in Boston.

God's story has been unfolding.

Andy Carr is the vice president of development and marketing at Feed My Starving Children,

an organization that's given away more than 3 billion meals

to hungry people all over the world. But years ago, Andy was on a very different path. He was the

epitome of the self-made man. All of his life, he was driven. He knew what he wanted,

and he worked hard to get it. And he was successful moving quickly up the corporate ladder.

It never occurred to Andy to ask God what he wanted for his life.

I grew up in a great Christian home. My mom and dad, they are people of faith.

And they have sown seeds into me and had a grandmother who was also a very staunch advocate, I guess, for me

and for my life. grew up in Indianapolis. And my parents remember there was the president of

Christian theological seminary lived near us in Indianapolis and was good friends with my grandmother.
