That is when literally a spirit of fear took up residence in my soul.

Several years ago, I spent an entire summer listening to Susie Larson.

That's a slight exaggeration.

It actually kind of went like this. Every week,

I'd pull the push mower out of the shed. And for the next hour, while I mowed the lawn, I was listening

to audio from the same speaking engagement over and over all summer long. It was one of the first

times I'd heard Susie Larson's story, and I was drawn to this woman who had gained

so much wisdom in her life. Susie is an incredible speaker, Bible teacher, author, radio host,

a friend of mine once said of Susie, you know, we all want the wisdom of Susie Larson,

but we don't necessarily want to live through what she has lived through to gain that wisdom.

There are some really tough things in what Susie has experienced, including sexual trauma.

So just a word of caution, if that might be a trigger for you, those traumatic experiences

left Susie bracing for the next bad thing, living her life and fear.
