here with a bit of an emergency episode

with my good mate, Patty O'Leary, the Irishman living in San Francisco, who this past weekend won

the legendary dipsy race, the oldest trail race in the world, which this year celebrated its

112th running, if you can believe it. The Dipsy is not only the oldest trail race.

It is also one of the most interesting events in the world in terms of its format and its history,

which we talk about at length in this conversation.

We recorded this in person at my house a couple of nights ago.

Patty brought along a friend and fellow Irishman, Zach Hanna,

fresh off his competition at the Mountain and Trail Running World Championships,

and just ahead of his competition at the Broken Arrow Sky Race.

Zach is a young phenom in the sport.

So we brought him on at the end to talk about world champs, Irish pride,

and to look ahead towards Broken Arrow.
