The Storms of California.

When last we spoke, Jeff, the big storm was coming in on a Sunday night,

a river called an atmospheric river.

There were then wild reports of mudslides, big snows, and you said at the time more than bucketing rain it was like living under a

waterfall how was it for orange county and what about Beverly Hills good evening to you It was a downpour like no others I've experienced in all my years here in California and

didn't matter if you were in Orange County where we are or you're up in LA or Ventura County, the north, or out in the mountains to the east which just got you know so much snow it's not I mean

you're way over the limit for the year now it just was it was a huge storm very

quick well-tilly quick, wasn't like the one that lasted a week or

two weeks last year, but it was very intense.

And so it was so devastating, it caused more than 500 mudslides in Los Angeles alone.

Several thousand others throughout Southern California wiping out roads and rivers overflow their banks we had probably had a couple

scores of homes that were destroyed countless roads were flooded or just they're

missing in action now so it was it pretty wild. There were a number of

evacuations, probably about a dozen, and statewide we had about nine people

die. The storms that hit Southern California, I understand they loosen the soil, but you've had mud

season before. I remember that you would have, let's see you would have summer, fall,

fire season and and mud season so is this different than it was before Jeff?
