SAG after the Screen Actress Guild and those of us in broadcasting after them.

Once upon a time in this century there were two entities after Senator New York, News

Business, SAG Senator Los Angeles, Hollywood.

And now they're combined and on strike.

And significantly, the news and broadcast part of SAG after is exempted from the strike

because our job is to do the news.

But everybody else is on strike.

In fact, the communication from my union is very strong.

So I welcome Jeff Bliss because the damage to the economy starts in LA and spreads across

the country.

Jeff, what can you tell me about the strike?

Is it at this point dominating a story in Los Angeles is everybody focused on it?

What do you mean to?

This is the story in the LA area right now and throughout Southern California.

You know, a lot of people think of Hollywood as just a small kind of microcosm, but it's

a major part of the economy.

They've already lost probably $2 billion or more because the writer's guild strike.

And now with SAG after who are the actors and such, it's going to really push that up.
