gasoline prices dipped and they were quite acceptable, but they're back.

Jeff, you've sent me some scary photographs from LA County at the edge of Orange County

of new gas prices in California. I saw six dollars and I stopped staring and then I saw seven.

Is this widespread? Is this growing in California? Good evening to you, Jeff.

Good evening, John. Yes, what was old is new again or something like that.

We're seeing prices skyrocketing. They're changing dramatically every night. It seems like you

go to bed, you wake up the next morning, drive by your local gas station and wow, it's jumped

another 10 cents or more. So where is the national average? It's about 385 a gallon right now in

California. It's supposed to be 578 a gallon as the average. But if you go to LA, the average there

is six dollars and three cents in Orange County, 598. But honestly, here in Orange County,

I've been out and about yesterday and today and I haven't seen anything under 630.

The gas prices underline the anxiety about everybody in America. We know that driving this is the

raising of possibility of coordination between Moscow and Riyadh to cut back on production.
