Lauren Landau joins us on this week's show. Yes, it's true that he's coached over 70 NFL

all-pros and at least 20 first-round draft picks. However, Landau has yet to rest on his laurels,

as he continues to educate through his board roles at Metro State, Satenta College, and Elite Sports

University. Landau is also responsible for the return to performance program at Stedman

Hawkins Clinic in Denver, where getting athletes back on their two feet after suffering devastating

lower extremity injuries

is his jam. But here's why we like the guy. His coaching style and ethos is centered around

mastering the basics, not bullshit or overly sexy gimmicks. He also believes building a rapport

with athletes starts with a candid conversation. His expertise comes at the cost of dedication

and the athlete's openness

to being coached. This episode is dense with coaching takeaways, drills, new ways of looking

at programming for weekend warriors through elite performers. For a guy with this level of success,

you'd imagine a comparable-sized ego, but that is certainly not the case.

As Landau says, experience is just the byproduct of failing a lot and being able to say,

I don't know.
