| 0:54.6 | let's get started with hypotheridism. Now we can't really talk about thyroid |
| 0:59.4 | disease without touching on the pituitary hypotherlamus axis. |
| 1:03.0 | So what does this mean? |
| 1:05.0 | The hypotherlamus will produce releasing hormones |
| 1:09.0 | that will stimulate the pituitary gland |
| 1:11.0 | to release stimulating hormones. Now these stimulating hormones will then affect certain |
| 1:16.1 | organs to do function. So the hypotherlamus will secrete something called thyroid releasing hormone. |
| 1:25.4 | And this thyroid releasing hormone or TRH will be sent to the anterior pituitary, which |
| 1:31.0 | will in turn secrete thyroid stimulating hormone aka T.S.H. |
