Hello, my friends. Welcome back to the Morning Mindset.

Here we go. I hope you are ready today to get your mind aligned with the truth of God.

We'll be looking at Proverbs chapter 22, verses 10, 11, and 14 today.

And we're going to be looking at the right kind of talk.

So the right kind of things coming out of our mouth as believers in Jesus Christ.

I hope you'll stick with me.

Okay, let's look at Proverbs 22 and think for a moment about the impact that words have on you,

whether it's words said to you, about you, in your favor, against you,

or it's words that you say to other people.

We have all heard that old phrase, sticks and stones may break my bones,

but names will never hurt me.

What that saying is meant to convey is that we can be strong enough in our own attitude

and in our own hearts and minds as to just let words slough off of us and not be an impact on us.

But the reality is words can crush us, words can destroy us.

And we as followers of Jesus Christ don't want to be the people who are doing that crushing.

And so let's look at Proverbs to give us some help on understanding what a Christ follower should be speaking like.

Proverbs 22, 10 and 22, 11 kind of go right together as a contrasting pair.
