in need to get our minds aligned with the truth of God. Today, we are looking at Proverbs

chapter 22, verse number nine. And I'm asking you with the question, do you have a

bountiful eye? You may not even know what that means. I didn't really quite get it before

I read the verse. So let's take time to dig into it today. But before we do, I want to

story and what the Lord is doing in your life. Alright, Proverbs 22, verse nine uses this

phrase about a bountiful eye that we really just don't use in our day. We may not even

know what that means. So let's read it and let the context tell us what it is Solomon

is saying to us. He says, whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed for he shares his

bread with the poor. Hmm, very interesting. So this quality of having a bountiful eye

has something to do with sharing. And perhaps even something to do with sharing with those

who are in need. And so it sounds to me like this phrase, bountiful eye could mean one

of two things or perhaps even both. It means someone who's generous. So in other words,

they look with their eye on the things around them and they see needs and they give they

are bountiful in the way they use their eye. They're looking for opportunities to give

and be a blessing to be generous like our God is. It also though could mean that the

person with a bountiful eye looks at life in a certain way. They don't see life as a situation

where there's only so much resources to go around and then you run out. And so some
