For some weeks, Jeremy has been carefully reporting what we know about.

Valerie the Doxon, lost according to the calendar, 529 days on Kangaroo Island,

which is in the south of Australia, off island, a beautiful preserve,

once dominated by kangaroos and eucalyptus forests and koalas and other animals.

Recently, though, it's not got the predators on board board which was one reason when the docks

and Valerie who escaped from her owner's camp out was returned everybody was willing to say well

Valerie didn't get grabbed off by a hawk or eaten by a predator in the forest. However, there's more to the story

than first appears. Valerie is okay, more than okay, too much more than okay. Jeremy, the owners have

reunited with Valerie. She's happy, big brown eyes, tail wagging.

However, the mystery continues.

What do we know about where Valerie's been for 529 days?

Well, John, it turns out what we now know about Valerie

and where she's been for the last 529 days

is that she's been in actually quite a good place.

And this is where the mystery begins because when Valerie came out of the wilderness

after 529 days of a domesticated duxan somehow surviving in Kangaroo Island or by a little

lonesome, she came out looking very healthy.

In fact, she was quite stocky.

She was a full 1.8 kilograms heavier than when she

went in. So that's around about three, three and a half pounds, which it can happen. The Kangala
