This is the Friends of History Debating Society. I'm John Batchel. Dallas and the magpie family.

Dallas is Jeremy's 10-year-old spoodle, a very well-behaved dog, very generous dog, because Jeremy

feeds him in the morning. He's got a water dish. He's got a kennel. There's a family of magpies in the

neighborhood who either have adopted

Dallas or Dallas has adopted them. Can you tell, Jeremy? I really can't anymore. At first I thought

it was Dallas for them, but then I've noticed that because they tend to be, I don't know, sometimes

that the boss of Dallas,

I'm wondering if in fact is actually the magpies have adopted Dallas and allowed him to live in their world.

But either way, John, the relationships working,

they're both very happy with each other.

And Dallas is tucked away one morning.

I guess it was cold for Dallas.

And he wasn't apparently at his regular spot.

What happened?

That's right, John.

That was actually yesterday.

So it was a lazy Saturday morning.

And because we've had the sudden change in weather where it's not so warm outside anymore,

Dallas took one look outside and thought, nah, I'm not going to go and lay out on the grass

for this morning. I'm actually going to just lay inside where the warm concrete floors have kept

some of the heat from the heater overnight, and it's actually quite nice. So Dallas just happily

had a little bit of a snooze there by the back door. Well, this seems to have thrown the Magpie family

...
