It is late winter, that is to say, anticipating springtime, and the weather, the climate, the winds, the cause of the climate,

Jeremy Zakis tells me is unusual.

Right now there's a warning in Victoria for Melbourne and the suburbs. There is weather in Sydney, New South Wales because of it,

and we're looking at a reversal of last week's report of fair skies and beach blanket weather.

Jeremy, a very good day to you. This wind warning in Victoria, where is the weather coming from and what do the people in Victoria do about it?

Gidde, John, this weather is coming from the south right now.

It's actually coming from the south right now. It's actually coming from

Antarctica. It's basically like about three or four cold fronts coming

together and pushing up really hard and really fast and creating a very very

heavy weather system. And what's happening in Victoria right now

is if you have a look on a map, they're the first ones to get the brunt of this weather

system which is particularly nasty and particularly dangerous.

So in Victoria right now, as I speak, the warning is that we're going to see damaging winds,

there's going to be potential danger across the state.

And the best part for the kids John for the children they have

now been told that schools will be closed for the entire day because it's just

too dangerous to go out there to go on the road so right now now a really, really strong windy gusty system that's just going to cause a lot of problems for us here in the Eastern Seaboard. And honestly, John, we're going to get it as well. And he may be able to tell by by my voice there's a lot of dust in the air as well.

So the winds are picking up the dust throwing it all across the eastern seaboard and genuinely just make it a little bit uncomfortable for us for the next few days.
