Summary

Drew Mentock and John Brice react to Notre Dame's dominant win over the Navy Midshipmen. The win is the Irish's 7th straight, which should see them rise in the CFP Poll. The guys react to Notre Dame's disciplined, penalty and turnover-free win, the first time Notre Dame has done so since 1997. They also broke down Notre Dame's stout defense, which held Navy to 10 points, including blanking them in the second half and holding them to 3 points in the game's final 41 minutes. The Irish were also 5-of-7 on key downs, while the Midshipmen were just 2-of-8. Both Jaiden Ausberry and Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa had strong play that was crucial to keeping Navy's run game in check, which struggled to create through the air without star QB Blake Horvath. JB and Drew also talked about Notre Dame's efficient offensive performance. CJ Carr finished 13-of-16 for 218 yards, 3 passing TDs and a 257.6 passer rating, the first time a Notre Dame freshman QB has done so since at least 1995. Jeremiyah Love also had a Heisman-worthy highlight while scoring a TD and rushing for 94 yards. Plus, a little CFP conversation to wrap things up.

there really weren't any excuses for how poorly

they played at Boston College, given all those factors you just mentioned and the different
