We are finally breaking down a Notre Dame victory in the season of 2025,

not their first win of 2025, but their first win of the 2025 season.

The Irish knockoff Purdue 56 to 30.

And as befitting of a team that has waited this long for its first win, the Irish

waited a bit longer because of a one hour and 54 minute weather delay taking the time of

this game to almost exactly five hours from its 341 kickoff to its almost 841 conclusion.

Drew, welcome to the show. Let's dive right into your immediate overall impressions.

Before we start to dissect and pick apart this victory, what are just your first thoughts on

Notre Dame breaking through with a dominant win against Pittsburgh, excuse me, against Purdue,

even though some holes were displayed. Yeah, I mean, I think the story of the game is just the offense i mean obviously the 56 points kind of speaks for itself that includes a 100 yard kickoff return by didarian price but uh nerding produced 535 yards of offense and that's after C.J. Carr was done by the end of the third quarter.

I mean, I'm sure we're going to talk a lot about it. Incredibly efficient. I mean, he started off

with a 66-yard touchdown pass in Malachi Fields that, I mean, kind of effortlessly threw it 55 yards through the air on that.

And then just stayed super efficient, 10 to 12 for, I think it's 223 yards.

Just it's kind of incredible to see how he's progressed in just three games and kind of

how that helped set up, you know, the entire offense.

I mean, it helps that you're playing Purdue and not Texas A&M for the run game.

But you just really saw like the more

comfortable he looked the way it just enabled everyone else to kind of go. And I mean,

the offense really just continues to look good. Before we get to the ugly stuff and unfortunately

for the Irish, there was plenty of ugly once again on defense. I want to piggyback on your comment about the offense and the special teams.
