as we recap a relatively stunning and certainly disappointing Notre Dame 2724 loss at Miami.

We're here doing overtime live because Notre Dame could not force overtime after giving Miami a score on it.

The Kane's final possession and then Notre Dame kind of falling apart on its final possession,

having to reshuffle its offensive line, even at that late stage

after rallying to get a tie, just not enough played from behind pretty much all day.

Drew, your initial thoughts as we look at Notre Dame's first game of the season and, you know,

a loss, an early season loss.

We've seen this before before but certainly Notre Dame

starts right out of the gate with its back against the wall yeah and I think listening a

little bit to Marcus Freeman's post game press conference I think he really touched on it well

when he talked about like they when it came things got really tight and towards the end then they

started playing really well.

They matched the physicality. They did a lot of things they weren't doing.

It's when there wasn't that sense of urgency through really the first 40 minutes or so of the game that Nordame couldn't really match up to what Miami did.

And it was really at almost every phase.

I mean, I think the secondary made a lot of

really uncharacteristic mistakes. You don't see that from them. Even on some of the special plays,

you know, C.J. Daniels made that miraculous catch. But he also had to, Leonard Moore had to get

beat on a double move, which you actually are the one who texted me about that. And then Don Schuller, I think maybe he was waiting for the interception to try and catch it in the end zone so he could just, you know, take a knee and get it at the 20, but he didn't make a play in the ball or the man. And he honestly, easily could have easily potentially disrupted that had he had done something different,
