Today, we're overthinking about UFOs.

Did any other children of the 90s grow up with those glow-in-the-dark bedroom stickers on their ceiling

that were like little aliens and little

feet and little peace signs. They were like these very retro yet futuristic looking images. I was

obsessed with those. I think ever since then I have really gravitated toward sort of old school

depictions of what the future might look like, sort of

googie, design aesthetics, barborella core. Am I making sense? The 90s was actually quite the time

for UFO lore. It was a decade defined by shows like the X-Files and Fox's alien autopsy hoax. It was a decade when people

were really just starting to grasp digital technology for the first time, but before widespread

internet and smartphones, not everybody had access to digital technology, so it carried a certain

mystique for a lot of us.

Interests surrounding UFOs tends to spike when life here on Earth doesn't feel so good.

There was another big UFO moment during the pandemic, which was a super apocalyptic time of

fierce uncertainty.

We didn't know what was going to happen on Earth.

And what do people do when Earth feels unsafe, unpredictable?

We look to the sky.
