Today's episode will be on the Christianization of the ruse according to the primary chronicle.

Now the primary chron Chronicle is the oldest known writings we have about Old Kievan Rus.

And where the people were going and what they were doing and how they lived in their lives but it

actually focused mainly on the leaders of Russia which is how I started this

podcast way back when in April of 2010. We're going to start with

Vladimir the Great or Vladimir the First who Christianized the Russe and this is

about how we made the decision to do so.

So it's a very fascinating listen.

They desecrated the earth with their offerings, and the land of ruse and this hill were

defiled with blood.

Vladimir was visited by Turkic Bulgarians of the Mohammedan faith who said,
