Our spotlight story this week is Luke Miller!
Luke has been a tile installer since the time he was 17 years old where he first started his love of ceramic tile. At age 25, he became a licensed tile contractor (because you have to have a license for it in California). However, his business never took off – he knew a lot about tile but not a lot about business. After leaving tile installation for a while he got back into it in 2012 and luckily it was better (not perfect but better)!
Even though he wasn't making a ton of money, he was making double what his competition was. It was because like Luke they knew their stuff when it came to tile, but operating their business was much harder. Now, he hosts his own podcast the Tile Money Podcast all about tile to help serve others in the same business and make sure they learn from Luke's mistakes!
