You can't really call yourself a Christian if you're not making disciples because that's part of what it means to live the Christian life is to share it.

You talk about JP2's great phrase, the faith only increases to the measure that it's given away.

And so often we think about it in terms of evangelizing, like, oh, do I tell my brother at Thanksgiving who's fallen away from the

fate that he needs to stop living with his girlfriend or something?

Like we latch on to these very specifics and it's like, no, what you need to do is go volunteer

and teach the next generation.

Like the very word tradition means that which is handed on.

Yeah. that which is handed on.
