Hello and welcome to Outward for November 2021. I'm Cristina Cauterucci, a senior writer at Slate, and I have to start out by congratulating friend of the show in my dreams, Kristen Stewart, on her recent engagement to Dylan Meyer.

And I have to say, the thing I love most about this moment is Dylan Meyer is a very normal level of hot.

She's very hot. Don't get me wrong, but she's definitely like screenwriter hot, you know, or like you might even say like podcast host hot.

So it's just very sweet. I love them together. They're adorable. And this is my official announcement that I'm going to be taking a short leave of absence just to do some research on how to get invited to that wedding.

That's very fair. I think we can accommodate that. Thank you.

I'm Brian Louder, editor of Outward. And I just want to apologize if my audio is bad today. This week my building decided to install sensible solar panels on the roof instead of the fabulous roof deck that I had asked for.

And so we're doing with that along with the building next door doing re pointing of brick, which seems to involve a lot of sauce going directly into the side of that.

So it's a bit loud and it actually sent me back into the closet.

Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Wow, Brian, we'll get through choosing a roof deck over solar panels during the week of the cop climate summit.

Really interesting choice. I mean, they chose the right thing, the building. We're getting this.

Yeah, they did. I'm talking about you.

So quickly, just before we get into the episode, I want to know what is the gayest thing that you did this month.

Oh, man, this month, that's a hard one because I've been having probably the gayest month of my life.

Wow.

I went to this huge lesbian circuit party in Orlando called Girls in Wonderland.

And since returning from that, that was in October, I haven't stopped.

I've just been hitting up every queer party, every queer event in New York that I can.

But the gayest thing I did recently, I would say is the other night, I went to a queer soup night.
