Just got back from family vacation, which was great and hard and wonderful and messy and I didn't expect it to be.

I really didn't. I just assume that a group of good people who are all kind of wanting to live well and love one another

and share in a joyful week. I just thought that would kind of cover it.

Be enough. I thought it would be enough. And I'm really sort of surprised at my naivete at this point, but shocked in the midst of it, like, so we're not going to name names in this podcast so we can tell some stories.

But there are some of us in our family system who love to get places on time.

And so when it's, hey, we're going rafting today,

that's the activity. And so everybody, you you know we're leaving at 10 and that kind of thing and then 10 o'clock rolls around and that half of the

the family system is ready to go some block on you know and the other half are

like making coffee and and like literally haven't had breakfast yet and they think that's okay.

The point is like there is kind of this in comprehension too that's actually not okay, you are now stalling the whole momentum of things, right?

Oh wait, I gotta go back and clean my sunglasses and you go, actually you don't. Anyway, point being this, I came away from the family vacation with a kind of

refreshed perspective that everyone has a way. We all have a way, a way of doing

life and our way is profoundly affecting the people we love and the people in our

world and our way is worth looking at.

idea of everyone has a way, a way of approaching life, a way of handling everything

It just we have a way. We have a way of doing life and I think it's important that that we have a look at it.
