It is a sad day when you realize that some of your family doesn't really dig you anymore.

The thing about Christmas and the holidays for me and my family is that Christmas especially was huge for her mom.

I mean, she made me wake up and decorate the house and all that stuff, climb on the roof, do what I have to do.

But after she passed, I realized that a lot of our family members really loved her, maybe tolerated us because, you know, it was kind of like a group deal.

We're not getting as many phone calls.

Nobody stops by anymore.

And I'm like, who are these people?
