0:39.6	to this verse where Jesus makes a contrast between earthly fathers and our Heavenly Father.
0:46.2	And He makes clear, earthly fathers love to give good gifts to their children. And earthly
0:51.4	fathers are not perfectly good, they're not perfectly wise, they don't always know what is best.
0:57.4	So how much more will our Heavenly Father, who is perfectly good, perfectly wise, give to us,
1:04.9	as we ask Him. Now what's interesting is in Matthew's version of this teaching, Jesus says,
1:11.0	how much more your Heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him. And doubtless Jesus taught
1:17.2	exactly those words God loves giving good gifts. But here in Luke chapter 11, Luke records Jesus
1:24.4	saying how much more will the Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him, which
1:30.4	doubtless Jesus also taught. So we receive good gifts from God and we receive the Holy Spirit
1:38.0	from God and think about the wonder of what this means. Luke chapter 11 verse 13, you might
1:44.0	read it and you think, I wasn't asking for the Holy Spirit, I was asking for whatever you fill in
1:48.4	the blank that you would be asking God for. Remember, His Spirit is the fountain from which all the good
1:56.0	things we desire flows. And this is the beauty of Jesus's promise in Luke chapter 11 verse 13,
2:03.2	when we ask for comfort, for example, Jesus doesn't just give us comfort, He gives us the comfort
2:10.5	when we ask for strength, Jesus doesn't just give us strength, He gives us the Holy Spirit,
2:16.6	who is omnipotent. When we ask for peace, He gives us the spirit of peace when we ask for
