And Sarah Khan, who writes, edits for us, travels the world on our behalf, who is actually in

the studio with us today.

If you're a regular travelogue listener, you will definitely recognize Sarah's voice.

She usually pops on, but is always on Skype.

And so she's been in the office for a while,

and it's very exciting to have her here. It's exciting to be here. So this week we're talking about something that kind of came out of a recent editor's letter for our most recent issue of the print

magazine, in which Pilar, Guzman, our editor-in-chief, was talking to a friend who did one of those things that I think we've all experienced, which is a friend of hers was like, help me plan this trip.

And of course, you oblige. And she had this idea for going on this trip with her kids. And as they were talking about the trip, it came out that maybe what she actually wanted was kind of this like fantasy eat pray love experience which is a little

hard when you have two teenage boys hanging out with you and so that like fantasy trip had to get

kind of readjusted because if pilar had helped her plan this dream trip it was kind of setting

everybody including her kids up for disappointment because you can't

really ever live up to that dream experience. So going in the opposite direction of that, Lale

and I decided we wanted to hear both from the Facebook group and from these lovely ladies

kind of what places they had gone with zero expectations or with kind of low expectations

that ended up becoming kind of that like perfect fantasy trip without any kind of predestined

decision to make it that. And maybe it wasn't perfect, but it was memorable and better than
