Hi, Katie. It's very exciting all of us will be in Los Angeles this weekend for the Oscars and the

Vanne Fair Oscar parties the first time ever which I don't know if that's going to make our

Oscar predictions better or worse but geographically will be at the heart of everything.

And then next week, we can end the suspense now.

We'll be recording an episode right after the Oscars, all crammed together and exhausted,

as usual.

So you can look forward to that. And by then we'll know everything and right now

everything feels extremely up in the air we're going to do our Oscar

predictions today and then catch up on some of the news that's led into this

including the BAFTA N WGA awards over the weekend.

But first I feel like we have to start with what for me was a deeply confusing moment and at

least one person tweeted this at all of us when the Academy appeared to tweet out the

list of Oscar winners in an effort to show off their interactive

ballot for people to use and then didn't clarify anything for a couple hours so that even though

Oscar voting wasn't over yet as we record this it's

still ongoing it looked like they had revealed all the winners did was this

kind of a classic debacle from the Academy that kind of sometimes can't seem to
