Hi everyone, I'm Susie Weiss, and I've noticed there's just simply not enough podcasts in the world. So I'm launching my own. Let's go. Let's go, baby. Second Thought is a weekly show about pop culture. The stuff everyone's been binging, arguing about, obsessing over. Here's the thing about heated rivalry. I mean, even the most devoted swifties, I think we can agree, not our best work. We'll be hosting thoughtful conversations with culture's most important figures. Talk about genius.

Okay. Check, check, check. All right, here we go. Welcome to how to. I'm Courtney Martin. And I'm Carvel Wallace. And so we've released about 50 episodes this year. First of all, does that seem like a lot of episodes? How is that? I don't even understand that. But anyway, it means... I'm so proud of us for being so consistent. I mean, not that we did it. The producers did it. We didn't really, did we do that? No, no, we didn't. But thank you though for giving us the credit. It's been 50, I mean, there's 52 weeks in the year. That means we recorded a new episode almost every single week, which is really wild. But it also means that we took on a lot of problems, really, if you think about it.

And that means we talk to a lot of listeners and experts.

So many amazing listeners.

And it's a how-to tradition to sort of gather at the end, take stock of what we've done, think

about our favorite episodes, pieces of advice that stuck with us.

1:26.5

And we get to hear some updates, which I am very excited

1:29.1

about. Yeah, that's my favorite part, is listening, because oftentimes, I feel like we're like,

1:35.4

we get people on here who aren't podcast people. They're just listeners. And then we do all this

stuff. And I know, I've been interviewed on this podcast. I know it can be a little intimidating. But I like it when like a month is past and you've gone back to your family and you've tried this new stuff. I like that's when we really see if any of the advice that we helped, you know, create was at all useful. Yeah. So if you actually, if you lied to us and said it was helpful and it wasn't, will you please write in?

2:01.9

We want to hear all about it.

Please come back.

Well, we're going to get into all that and more after a quick break. All right. All right.

2:29.3

We're back.
