Summary

This week on Two Parents & A Podcast, we’re recapping our BABYMOON in Miami… which did NOT go exactly as planned (read: food poisoning + a hospital visit) — but somehow we still had the best time!! 🤍 We start with the biggest surprise of the trip: Miami Beach being way more family-friendly than we expected (aka we’re already picturing trips with BUBBER and the new little guy). The first day and a half were AMAZING… and then things took a sharp turn. We break down the food poisoning saga, whether it hits harder when you’re pregnant, and the aftermath that involved the BRAT diet, a cold/dark room, and accepting that sometimes your body just decides you’re done for the day (all while Harrison casually coded an app???). From there, we spiral (as we do) into all the debates we had on the trip: is automatic gratuity fair?!, whether Miami prices are actually unhinged orrrr if we’re just being dramatic, and the eternal question — is it ever OK to save pool chairs at a hotel? (Please weigh in.) And OF COURSE, we share our favorite parts of the babymoon — because we’d ABSOLUTELY recommend it if you’re planning one. (But we need to say… sorry in advance if we did a little too much complaining this episode lol). Monday morning brought our first-ever trip to the ER as parents. We share what that experience was like and the #1 thing we learned.
