All right, some other observations from the game.

So I was okay with the decision after Washington won the coin flip.

By the way, Tressway was out there.

They got to clean up the administration of this new overtime rule,

the way every referees explained it differently.

I think they actually

confuse the players. The team that wins the toss gets the choice. They're not deferring.

Okay, they get the choice. There's no deferral there because there's no second half of an

overtime regular season game. Okay, so they take their choice. We're either kicking or we're receiving.

If we're kicking, we get to also choose the way in which we want to go.

And so that's why Trisway said kicking and going that way.

And the idea with the new overtime rule this year,

that is the overtime rule from the playoffs now transported into the regular season,

except with a 10-minute extra session, is that both teams are guaranteed a possession.

The game doesn't end on the first possession if the team scores a touchdown, like Denver did last night,

you know, to go up seven, 27 to 20.

And so the reason that you should most of the time, not all the time, but most of the time,

you should kick off as the same reason you don't take the ball first in the college overtime.

Because when you get possession of the ball, you the college overtime. Because when you get possession of the

ball, you'll know, A, exactly what you need. Do we need any score to win? Do we need a field goal to tie?

Do we need to score a touchdown to tie? Or maybe go for two for the win. And what that enables is you to be a four-down team.
