So as we record this episode, it is just after the holiday known, formerly as J2, now known as J-15, January 15th, International Signing Day has come and gone.

Happy international or happy belated international signing day to you, Jake.

Today's show, we're going to jump into a lot of FYPD prep.

So we're going to be talking about this year's class of international

sienese, the top tier guys.

And then that's going to lead us into a large conversation

about first year player draft preparation.

So right off the bat, I thought that we could actually do a little look back,

do a little retrospective on some of the past international signee classes,

and look at kind of how they've ended up obviously two major factors that impact the look back, the pandemic, and that

subsequent lost minor league season. So obviously there is no 2020 class. As a result,

the start of the last two international signing periods got moved from that

previously typical June 2nd, hence J2, now to January 15th.

So that's, that's, you know, why we talk about the move from J2 to J15.

The benefit for prospects is that it actually allows them,

generally speaking, to make plans with their team,

actually begin a full offseason regimen,

and often gives them a chance to start playing in complex leagues or the DSL,
