Seriously fast. I feel like a couple of days ago we were like oh I think I think in 90 days the the Taliban will take over cobble. Jesus Christ. They were playing bumper cars by like the next day and like after we finished recording well a couple a couple of weeks ago I don't remember when we said what but a couple of weeks ago. I think we said like 90 days or so I don't know what consensus we came to that's what I figured

around 90 days four weeks ago I think last time we spoke about Afghanistan we I

think last episode I don't really remember what I said I think I said it it might take a while for them to take the urban centers

Yeah, but they did very quickly but you know someone reached out to me on

Twitter today and it made me feel good about myself because you like hey I just

listened to that episode on Vietnam and you said that once the US

leaves Afghanistan then the government will fall in three hours and I was like I said that okay I'll take that

well that's funny I mean well that's interesting that you bring that up because I definitely want to talk a little bit more

about Vietnam today but we'll wait we'll do that at the end.

Okay but I mean here here's the thing. The media is going crazy right now and I think it's diluting the narrative that we should be taking from this very, very valuable lesson that we're all receiving about

nation-building and foreign policy and state craft and intervention just so many valuable lessons should be

learned right now and you know everyone is using this politically.

So the republic, the right wing is saying,

Ah, Biden, such a disaster,

or I ruined everything, ah. And then the Democrats like, well, this is all Trump's fault.

You know, so meanwhile George Bush is sitting back like with a smile on his face and his hands up in there.
