Lost in most of the high-level college football

talk at the end of last year was a success

that Dan Lanting in Oregon had, even though they just missed the playoffs by a

combined six points with both losses coming against a loaded Washington team.

Now Lanting is one of the best up-and-coming stars of college football and

after crawling Dylan Gabriel from Oklahoma through the transfer portal

the departure of Bo Nix has been somewhat softened even though it still is a big loss and the entrance

into the big ten is going to be a lot smoother but for a reason that really has

nothing to do with skill set and more about mindset. See Oregon is not the flashy offensive team of old only.

Lanting has managed to turn them into truly a grimy physical, nasty,

an angry group that's led by the guys up front.
