It's finally all over for Victor Orban, who is the far-right authoritarian leader of Hungary.

His rule well over, what, about a decade and a half now, some thought this day might not

happen for a long time.

There's been lots of celebration.

He is an international pun up of the ascendant fire right, Trump, you know, Bolsonaro,

obviously not a power at the moment, but that kind of breed, Modi in India, we could go on,

but also across Europe, Maloney and the like.

But is this really course for celebration?

Just who the hell has replaced him?

Is this politically any meaningful shift? Am I, are we, so he's my guest,

along with me about to jump all over the sandcastle, some of you may have built, and maybe just

end the party a bit? Look, we're here to tell the truth. There is a lot of liberal celebration

about this. Obviously, Orban, terrible, terrible regime, government, awful.

But we need to just speak about what actually just happened and it's significant.

There's no better person to speak to it, George Os Samaras,

who is a lecturer in public policy at the School for Government and the Policy Institute.

And he's an expert on, I guess, what the hell is going on in European politics. So it's great to be to you. How you did? Thanks for invitation. Owen. Great to be on the show. I've been to Hungary.

I've interviewed dissidents there.

It's an awful, awful, obviously, Orbán regime.
