Hey, everyone.

I wanted to start with a public service announcement.

And I've seen this so many times.

It just absolutely drives me up the wall.

And it's one of these things.

I feel like, I don't know if I'm getting, like,

becoming like a crotchety old man or whatever but um you know I saw this

so I'm going to kind of exaggerate but basically someone said oh there's a 1% chance of doing this

event so I have to do it a hundred times to get it and you see this a lot like oh there's a 10% chance

so that means you know you have to do this 10 times or you see this a lot like oh there's a 10% chance so that means you know you have to do this 10 times

or you see this a lot and it just absolutely drives me up the wall it doesn't work that way like if you

have if you have a 1% chance of doing something it doesn't mean that you have 100% chance if you

try 100 times it means that it's actually more complicated than that.

And I'm not going to go into the formula or anything like that.

It's actually, I can go into it. It's pretty simple.

It's just, if you have a 1% chance of doing something,

then that means you have a 99% chance of failing.

So the chance that you succeed even once

is one minus the chance that you fail every time, right?

So if you have 1% chance of success,

you have a 99% chance of failure.
