| 0:23.4 | wealthy, both literally and emotionally and spiritually, somehow means you have to sacrifice your |
| 0:31.7 | health and happiness in the process. I'm going to go through some of the tools and tips that I use to keep myself focused on having a financially well life and provide some resources and some thoughts for you to consider as you go about your week. |

| 1:00.0 | thinking that rich people are miserable people, that anyone who had a certain measure of wealth |

| 1:14.3 | that myth attached to me so deeply, I would often sabotage the minute I started making some money. |
| 1:22.6 | And what I came to realize was a couple of things. One, that there is a difference between being rich and being |
| 1:29.8 | wealthy. And secondly, that there was a path to financial success that I could control and determine |
| 1:36.7 | that didn't mean that I had to be miserable, that I had to sacrifice health and happiness |

| 1:48.0 | So first let's start with where does this myth come from? |
| 1:56.9 | When you look at social media or pop culture, there is this narrative that seems to be pretty pervasive, that rich people hustle hard and that you have to grind to be rich, that you |
| 2:04.5 | have to give up a lot on the way to richness. And I think if we separate being rich from being |
| 2:12.6 | wealthy, that is probably true. There are a lot of people in the world who want to get rich. There are |
| 2:20.0 | less people in the world who want to be wealthy. Rich people have to sacrifice a lot because |
| 2:27.2 | richness to me, as my definition, is a very narrow way of thinking about money. It is 100% rooted in how much you have in your bank |
