And today I want to talk to you about how to opt into the power of the pause.

Basically, we're going to talk about how to cultivate a life of stillness.

And earlier this week, we did talk about how to avoid running away from problems and that

one way we may avoid facing our issues is by running away from sitting with this comfort.

Well, today we're going to explore this a little bit more, but from a more affirming positive side, basically we're going to talk about

how mindfulness can create a life of joy for you. And it's not something that may come easy to us. I know if you're like me,

you've got a lot going on. And grabbing five minutes of stillness, grabbing five minutes to pause

during your day may at times feel like it's impossible, not going to happen. Today, I want to

encourage you and I want to talk about how can

we cultivate lives of stillness? How can we make those five minutes or more a part of our daily

routine? And what are the benefits of taking time to pause? And at the end, the last two to three minutes of this podcast,

we're going to do a quick body scan. So we're going to practice it in real time. If you are

phrase of power of the pause, what I'm alluding to is just simply creating moments where you are in control of adding

practicing just a few seconds sometimes of stillness is that power of the pause. There are times where our temptation is to just

keep go, go, go, go, go, going. Push through. Push past. And while there are times where that

needs to happen, more times than not, if we were able to take a pause, we might make better decisions.
