creative writing and Africana Studies and Journalism. She was born and raised in Chicago, but then

spent a year in Paris during her freshman year of college. Currently, she lives in Brooklyn,

and she's a journalist and senior beauty editor

at Essence Magazine. She also is a columnist for The Cut and Vogue. Her writing covers the spheres
