on another fantastic podcast called Be Well Sis. This is a podcast with Cassandra Dunbar. I was honored

to be asked to speak on this podcast. And we have a pretty powerful conversation that I feel is

important enough that should be

brought over to Black Girl burnout and really should set the tone for the theme of September.

And that is all about how to help and how to heal.

We have a conversation this week that covers many things. But in this first part, we cover a lot

about what I believe my mission, that I believe every human being's mission is, which is that we

have the responsibility to heal ourselves and help others. And I talk a lot about what that means, what it doesn't mean,

and how I personally execute this, and how I think we can as a community fulfill those two

destinies and what success looks like in those realms. This is an important

conversation because I want this to be the theme of the month of September. I want us to spend

as summer makes way to fall, us really investing in reflection upon how do we heal ourselves? And then how do we at the same

time, maybe after healing, help others? How are those two areas of our lives taking shape?

What are we doing? What activities should we be thinking about? How do we center

joy and soft living in both our mission to heal ourselves and help others? All those are the

thoughts I want us thinking about this month. And so as you listen to this interview, hopefully

you will find it as powerful of a

conversation as I did when I had it with Cassandra and also start to think about how am I doing
