Welcome to the Black Girl Burnout podcast, Kelly here. And today we're going to talk about how to opt into finding your rhythm. This is all about movement and how you move in the world is what I mean.

Trust me, I am no dance instructor and I'm not here to teach you any of that.

But I am here to talk about finding your groove, finding your rhythm, and doing this with bravery and confidence and joy.

I feel like as I get older, as much as I wrestle, as I've been very transparent about,

wrestle with the fact that I'm getting older and visibility and anxiety around age.

I also feel more and more and more confident

about who I am and how I move in this world.

I have found my rhythm.

And I like the dance of life that I participate in

and that I've created.

And I want to take time to encourage you. This month, we have talked

about friendships and healing sisterhood. We have talked about navigating balance with some

incredible black women. And all of this is to lead to how to have self-confidence and joy in how you create your life,

how you find your rhythm. What does your dance look like? Let's talk about it. I know for me,

when I think about finding my rhythm, finding my groove, it's about being brave enough to be myself and to defy the stereotypes

every day of what it means to be black and what it means to be a woman. I will not put labels

or restrictions on that because everybody gets to choose what that means for them.

But I want people to be able to choose what that means for them and still have two key components in the dance of their life.

And that is to do that with confidence and to also do it with compassion.

Because it's when those two things intersect
