Senate, the Senate confirms Matthew Lomer as Undersecretary of the Air Force, the United States Senate confirmed former Space Force Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Lomer as the Undersecretary of the United States Air Force in a 52-46 vote.

Nominated by Trump, Lomer is tasked with advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion policies within the Department of Defense

while modernizing the U.S. Air Force and United States Space Force. Defense Secretary Pete Hexeth had

delayed these efforts until both positions were filled.
