we are going to talk about the opiate epidemic, opiate use disorder. And specifically, we're

going to be talking a lot about buprenorphin, naloxone, brand name, Suboxone. But before we

even get to that point, the most important thing that you need to

understand as a med student, as a resident, is the sheer scope of this opiate epidemic that you

keep hearing about. Because you might not really understand it yet. But just to be very clear,

opiate overdose, just overdose, none of the opiate other opiate

related harms, but opiate overdose is the number one cause of death in adults under the age

of 50.
