The trial against Tori Lanez for allegedly shooting Megan E. Stallion has officially begun

with the defense and prosecution giving their opening statements in court yesterday.

Now the defense is going to try to cast doubt on Megan's recollection by suggesting her

friend Kelsey Harris fired the shots that struck her in both feet. However, she remains

adamant that she saw Tori firing the gun as does her friend Kelsey. Now, complicating

the matter is the fact that both Kelsey and Tori test a positive for gunshot residue.

Experts say that makes sense considering the gun was fired in an enclosed space because

they were in the car. Tori was initially charged with carrying a loaded unregistered firearm,

assault with a semi-automatic firearm after Megan accused him of shooting her a few weeks

later. And that's part of the defense that's going to, they're going to focus on is the

fact that she changed her story in the intervening weeks because she told Pete, she told police

out the gate that she had cut her feet on glass out of fear of their response. Now, prosecutors

later added discharging a firearm with gross negligence to the charges, but it's underway,

opening statements, and that's where everybody, that's where prosecution and defense stands,

and that's what's going to play on court.
