So you go into this place and you have some education on the history of it and you know what happened there and the amount of death.

Does it immediately have kind of an ominous feel to it as you walk through the door?

Is there any sense of, you know, this is going to be peaceful?

This may be interesting.

Or is it immediately like, I don't know about this.

So at first, it was, so when you walk in the front doors of Edinburgh Manor, it could easily be the set of a horror movie without having to do much to it.

There's, you know, paint peeling off the walls from where I said abandoned for, you know,

three or four years, but you know, the Midwest in general has got, you know, that humidity thing going on.

And really hot, summer's, really cold winters, that expansion contraction.

So got this lead-based paints just hanging off the walls and there's black mold

coming up from the basement. And I don't know what's, I know they lost funding and they basically

cleared out, but it looks like one can be forgiven for having this like Chernobyl kind of vibe to

it because it was like people just up and left.

Yeah.

Like beds were still made.

There were still clothes in the in the dressers.

Back when I first went, there was a lot of not so hippocomplying stuff hanging out.

I have a, you know, I found old brain x-rays and stuff like that.

Wow.

And my initial reaction was like, oh my gosh, it's so exciting.

I found my place.
