Open AI CEO Sam Altman taking the stand today as part of Elon Musk's lawsuit against Open AI.

Seema, that's exactly right. So perfect timing for you guys to come to us. Sam Alman was just sworn in.

He is on the witness stand

officially. Brett Taylor, the chairman of opening eye, actually just walked out behind us. But today,

we do expect to hear from Altman. And he's going to get a chance to really tell his side of the story

and respond to what has been weeks of criticism so far throughout this trial. Some of his former

colleagues, you had former board members, testify

under oath that Altman at times was untrustworthy in lawyers for Musk do keep bringing up

Altman's firing from Open AI. That was three years ago in what employees sometimes called the

blip. Musk, as the backdrop here, suing Open AI and Sam Altman on grounds that they allegedly

betrayed the company's founding

agreement, they being Greg Brockman as well, other executives. And Musk has called it essentially

stealing a charity. That has been his argument. Open AI's defense team has highlighted that there

was never a signed contract. It was mostly emails, informal talks as well. They have argued

that Musk left, this is Altman well. They have argued that Musk left,

this is Altman's lawyers arguing this, that Musk left because he would not get the reins to the

company and that Musk himself actually entertained. He supported that for-profit plan at times.

Attorneys for Open Eye have really been grilling witnesses so far about Musk's memory of all these events

and tried to paint him as just a disgruntled competitor at this point, who is suing to destabilize

Open AI wall at the same time competing with XAI. We may also get some more details about the

value of Sam Altman's personal stake. There were some questions around Greg Brockman's stake as well.
