0:44.6	We've been looking at our Church Covenant, which I hope is an expression of the Word,
0:49.4	your eager response to the Word.
0:53.1	I want to thank you for that. We looked last week at what it means to be a
0:57.4	God-centered community of faith, how to love one another in a way that centers on God and not
1:04.5	on ourselves, which we're going to take that to another level tonight as we looked at what it,
1:08.8	look at what it means to be an open-handed community of faith.
1:11.5	And here's what I mean by that.
1:12.8	Here's what I hope we're going to see in the Word.
1:15.5	The church is designed by God to be a generous people, an open-handed people, a people who believe that God has given us time and resources and energy to be used
1:32.1	for the good of others, to the glory of God.
1:36.9	Now the opposite of that is obviously close-handed people, people who believe that God
1:43.3	has given time, resources, energy to center on ourselves and to
1:48.9	terminate with ourselves to meet the needs of ourselves instead of to meet the needs of others.
