We all would like to think that we know where we are going and how to get there.

That's very significant to me, because not all of these Psalms do we have such a distinct purpose attached to.

So this is not just a Psalm of David. We believe it's a Psalm of

David written distinctly to help his son, to help the work of the Lord continue, to prepare for

the future. And what is David's great message to Solomon? Are you ready for this? Only God.

David had made lots of preparation. Solomon had lots of for this? Only God. A day that had made lots of preparation,

Solomon had lots of potential, but only God. I think that'll put it in some perspective as we read it.
