So it's this strange thing where, because everybody is going through this like hideous experience,

0:07.3

you know, there's very little room to articulate it. And to me, one of the strangest things I think

0:13.6

about all this is that I often don't really know how other people are living on a day-to-day level

0:21.2

because I think that there's so much stigma in and for understandable reasons, right? Like, you don't

0:28.6

want to talk publicly about which rules you're complying with and which you're sort of cheating and,

0:35.6

you know, how you're sort of making this impossible situation worse because you don't really want

0:41.5

to create a permission structure. Usually, if there's a set of rules that are in some ways unworkable,

0:48.0

people will talk publicly about the ways they're working around them. You can't really do that here

1:21.3

or if everyone feels this way, but I've never been as attuned to the movements of the sun

1:26.0

as I have this year every single day when I notice it gets a little bit brighter and stays

1:32.5

bright a little bit longer. I hold on to it like this is beam of hope that I'm throwing my arms

1:39.3

around as I think about spring and the future. And I also don't know if it's just me or maybe you

1:45.6

feel this way too, although I imagine what people do is that there's something about coming up

1:51.2

on the one year of the pandemic that is really messing me up. I mean, I think if you listen to the

1:59.9

show, you know that I already have like a fair amount of like obsessive thoughts about my own

2:05.9

mortality and the passage of time and it's something that I'm kind of always sort of dealing with

2:11.4

throwing in the background of my my brain, my psyche, my soul. But time has been so weird, so stretched

2:19.6

and then scrunched in so many strange ways over the last year that the experience of it has been
