0:54.5	Now, some people view the Christian faith like some slot machine religion or some genie in a bottle where they just make their request and get whatever they want but you know your wants your desires reveal so much about your heart towards
1:01.4	god i'm not talking about some shallow thing that you want today if you could boil all of life down
1:07.9	and say this is the one thing i most desire. What would that one thing be?
1:13.9	I saved Psalm 27 for our final study of one thing. It is the only one of these scriptures that
1:22.5	comes from the Old Testament. But I saved it last, not because it's least, but to make an emphasis. It's found in Psalm
1:29.8	27, one of the Psalms of David, and it really does bring so much beautiful simplicity to the
1:37.0	complications of life, to complex circumstances. In Psalm 27, David has had lots of people turn against him and lots of things that didn't go his way.
1:48.6	But he says this, the Lord is my light and my salvation.
1:51.8	Whom shall I fear?
1:53.2	The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
1:57.2	When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes came upon me to eat up my flesh they stumbled and fell
2:03.1	though in host should encamp against me my heart shall not fear though war should rise against me
2:09.0	and this will i be confident one thing have i desired to the lord that will i seek after that i may dwell in the house of the lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord? That will I seek after that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
2:18.6	all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. David said,
2:26.3	there's one thing I want. I just want to be close to God. In fact, David has been hunted. He's
2:32.0	run for his life. He's hidden in caves.
