When I started doing these one-on-one podcasts, one of the first guys that came to my mind was a guy I worked with in radio when I was first starting out in Toby Roland.

It was a good friend. I, known him for a long time, about as long as anybody in the business.

Both kind of the same age, kind of grew up together in this, but I'd say Toby and Curtis

and I, Curtis Fitzpatrick, all kind of went through some of the same

ups and downs together getting into this business.

And Toby is, he's doing doing great he's the voice of the

Sooners now has a morning show on k-R-E-F radio that actually butts up against mine

with the morning animals but we still remain friends and wanted a chance to really

get down to earth with Toby in a podcast like this talk about some of our

thoughts on well Toby was really fascinated with the media in Oklahoma City

which it is kind of a fascinating subject maybe for us maybe not so much for the

casual fan but we talked a lot about that but Bob Stoops and kind of our

relationships with him and how they've changed over the years and how Bob Stoops has

changed over the years and I really wanted to see if Toby would talk about a part of his life where he was given the job as the Oklahoma City Thunder

Sideline reporter, kind of had that ripped away from him by a place that we worked for.

It was really interesting getting to hear his take on that and hear him.

I really appreciate him kind of opening up a little bit and talking about that.

But just you'll hear from him, but just a major disappointment for him

professionally.

It all ended up working out great.

And I was also really enjoyed the conversation hearing him talk about his relationship with

Jocistiglion and how much time he actually spends in the broadcast booth during games.
